How We Capture Genuine Candid Images
1. Directing Through Prompts, Not Poses
Rather than telling a family or couple exactly where to place their hands and head, we give them prompts that encourage action. We might ask a couple to walk together and share a secret, or ask parents to play a tickle game with their toddler. This shifts the focus away from the camera and onto the relationship.
2. The Magic of the In-Between Moments
The best photos often occur before the shoot formally starts or right after it wraps. When the couple relaxes, adjusts their hair, or laughs about a mistake—that is when their true personalities emerge. Our photographers keep their cameras ready to capture these authentic transitions.
